Company
Inundata provides hydrology and hydraulics modeling that helps project teams make informed, early decisions with confidence. We focus on delivering 2D modeling and flood‑risk mapping quickly and with the level of quality expected from major engineering firms—without the delays and coordination bottlenecks that often slow projects down. Our work is built around one goal: giving developers and project managers the information they need to understand risk, evaluate viability, and move forward decisively.
Approach
Our approach is straightforward: keep the process focused, communicate clearly, and deliver results without delay. Clients work directly with the person doing the modeling, which means questions get answered quickly. By removing layers of management, we’re able to move efficiently while also maintaining a high level of quality.
We structure each project around predictable steps and clear deliverables, making it easy for developers and civil consultants to understand where things stand and what comes next. In practice, that means reliable modeling results that support early planning, pricing, and risk evaluation without slowing the project down.
Why It Matters
Early clarity reduces uncertainty. When project teams understand stormwater‑related constraints upfront, they can make informed decisions about site viability, layout, and financial exposure before investing time and resources. Our work helps developers avoid surprises, refine project assumptions, and move into the next phase with confidence.
Our work also helps civil consultants who need dependable modeling without maintaining a full‑time specialist on staff—allowing them to pursue opportunities, manage workload peaks, and deliver complete packages to their clients.
Leadership
Inundata is led by Jon Powlison, PE, CFM, Founder & Principal Engineer, a hydrology and hydraulics specialist with over 15 years of experience supporting power‑sector, transportation, and land‑development projects across the U.S.
His background includes work with public agencies, private developers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams, giving him a practical understanding of how modeling informs real‑world decisions. Jon leads all modeling efforts directly and coordinates with Inundata’s network of collaborators when projects benefit from additional technical depth or multidisciplinary support.
